Hello, Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? I was daydreaming about sleeping in, cuddling on the couch and just relaxing the days away, but that was wishful thinking. It was another one of those weekends where I was working non-stop from morning to night. As I’m writing this I’m getting sleepier and sleepier thinking about my 4am alarm clock and extremely early call time. No sleeping in for me!! But I will be around a great group of people on a fun commercial for the Colorado Wildlife Council. I just wish we were filming in Colorado in the snow instead of Texas!!
Alright, while I’m still awake let’s chat about some serious fashion here. Most of y’all probably saw me post this gorgeous cape from Evy’s Tree on Instagram Friday. I just loved it so much I wanted to give you guys a full blog post on it with tons of photos so y’all can see the gorgeous detailing better.
When I went out on Friday to shoot this cape it was about 75 degrees in Austin which is pretty warm for mid November. I had the cape hanging in the back of the car to layer over my black top and jeans so I wasn’t getting extremely warm before we had to shoot. We got downtown and started walking around, shooting and decided to stop and grab a quick coffee to get some extra energy. Literally, as we walked outside and sat down it was like a hurricane was barreling through – extremely high winds, dust storm, and super dark clouds over us. By that time, we were hauling ass to the car which was quite a site with me in this fabulous cape and high heels attempting to sprint through the streets of downtown! The point of this story is that this cape SAVED ME that day!
Yes, I know, so corny, but I love it even more!! This cape is THE hottest neutral for Fall. It is a gorgeous caramel color with a darker brown contrasting color inside. The Audrey is an elegant poly/wool cape trimmed with vegan leather and a luxurious, removable, synthetic, fur collar. And if you’re worried about the wool, trust me, it’s not itchy at all!! Most likely you will also be wearing a long sleeve shirt or sweater underneath so the wool wont even touch your skin. This cape also has snap closures and a front hook for closure. I wore this cape open and flowing to show that it is still flattering when it is draping naturally.
To me, capes are the epitome of classic fashion. They go with everything, they are flattering on practically everyone and they are the perfect accessory! The Audrey is currently on pre-sale but is also marked down for a limited time only so it’s not going to be around for long. Take advantage! And trust me, this is a piece you definitely don’t want to pass up. It will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come!
