Tis’ the season for endless holiday parties! It may not seem like it, especially being in this profession but I am the biggest introvert ever. It really takes a lot of energy for me to be around a lot of people in a party setting. That is one reason Grayson and I absolutely love hosting small get togethers at our new home. We don’t host many soirées but when we do, they have to be absolute perfection.
Is anyone else OCD about every single detail when it comes to hosting? I feel like I literally go into party planning overdrive. The house has to be in order, everyone’s outfits need to be on point, including Steven’s. And most importantly, the food and holiday party cocktails have to be top notch.
Planning the perfect holiday get together doesn’t have to be so stressful. I created 2 extremely easy holiday party cocktails with Torresella Pinot Grigio and Torresella Prosecco. My go to lately has been Torresella Wines, as they are an environmentally sustainable wine company created in Venice, Italy. Talk about getting amazing Pinot Grigio and Prosecco straight from the wine holy land!
These simple recipes are sure to wow your guests with absolutely no prep time whatsoever. Maybe a quick run to the store but other than that, creating these drinks takes mere minutes!
First things first. Let’s start with one of my absolute favorite drinks that I enjoy year round. I like to call this one “The Torresella Prosecco Pop” cocktail. These drinks are always such a hit during the summer temps, but I make them throughout the year with different ingredients to make them more seasonally appropriate. It is an extremely simple drink to make and will make such a tasty statement. Who says you can’t enjoy a summer inspired drink during the holidays?!
Holiday Party Cocktails:
The Torresella Prosecco Pop
Here’s what you need to make it:
– Torresella Prosecco
– Popsicles in any fruity flavor – I used Lime Mint Elderflower popsicles
– Fresh Mint
– Raspberries (or any type of fruit you prefer)
– Fun Straws
– Coupe cocktail glasses, wine glasses, or mason jars if you want a more casual vibe
I always love making these drinks as people come in so the bubbles and popsicle are both extremely fresh. There is no real science in the order you combine the ingredients. I always put a decent amount of raspberries in the bottom, add a popsicle to the side and pour the Prosecco over everything to really infuse those flavors. Pinch off a few fresh mint leaves, add a straw and they are ready to be served.
Of course, it’s all about the presentation too. As any good hostess would do, I love serving these cute drinks on a festive tray all while channeling my inner Stepford Wife.
The second holiday drink is an even simpler recipe with only 3 ingredients! I like to call this one the “Torresella White Wine Spritzer.”
Torresella White Wine Spritzer
Here’s what you need to make it:
– Torresella Pinot Grigio
– Cranberries
– Ginger ale or any type of flavored sparkling water
What I love about this type of drink is that you can easily make these before guests arrive. I put a handful of cranberries in the bottom of a wine glass (we used stemless in this case), pour the Torresella Pinot Grigio on top and then add as much ginger ale or sparkling water as you would like. Give it a quick stir and you are ready to go!
For me, this drink is all about the presentation. It just screams holiday! I always love creating a beautiful holiday table-scape and having the Torresella White Wine Spritzer waiting at your seat.
Thank you to Torresella Wines and Refinery29 for sponsoring this post.
“Last night I had a salad for dinner. It was fruit salad. It had grapes. Lots of grapes. In fact, it was all grapes. It was wine.”
Those drinks look so good. I might need to try those out at my get together this weekend.
