Pool weather is already upon most of us… Are you prepared?? To be completely honest, I have been so scared to get into a bathing suit that I have totally avoided even looking at them. It’s been months since I have been able to exercise besides walking and doing some body weight squats, so I’ve been feeling extra blah about swimwear. I’m sure all of you ladies know that feeling… haven’t had the time to get in bikini shape since Thanksgiving and Christmas… Still haven’t lost those extra pounds you had hoped when you made your New Year’s resolutions. It’s a vicious cycle and I honestly don’t feel like it gets any easier as we get older… It’s been tough to want to invest in swimwear at all this year!
Which brings me to my next point… Am I the only one out there that doesn’t like to spend a fortune on swimsuits? When I am on vacation at the beach or at a pool everyday I want a variety of bikinis. To me, that means I need to find affordable swimwear so I can stock up and have multiples! Who wants to wear the same expensive bathing suit over and over again?? This girl likes a deal!
While I was perusing the internet looking for a swimwear steal, I came across the cutest site! Who’s heard of the brand, & Other Stories? Not only do they have super cute clothing but they consistently collaborate with designers around the world such as Rodarte, Ada Kokosar, Sadie Williams, Faux real, Claire Vivier, Vika Gazinskaya, Rachel Antonoff, Lykke Li and Zana Bayne. These gorgeous and affordable designs complement their collections and connect the consumer with designers from around the world at a fraction of the price.
Now let me tell you, I had a hay-day the first time I was on the Stories site. I think I ended up buying 4 bikinis, 2 pairs of shoes, jewelry, and a bag. To my surprise, it ALL came out to under $400 for everything. Not knowing the quality of these pieces I anxiously anticipated receiving the package to check everything out. I was amazed with the quality of each item considering how affordable things were. The leather cross-body bag I got was made of actual leather and was under $100. Seriously guys, y’all need to check them out!
Alright, back to swimwear. I’ve listed quite a few of my favorite bikinis that are all extremely affordable. Just scroll through and click the item you are interested in and it will take you straight to the website to shop.
For those of y’all that aren’t the bikini type, I’ve pulled my favorite one-pieces to get you beach/pool/vacation ready! They are all under $70!
Sadly, the cover-up I was wearing in this post sold out before I could post it so I’ve linked a few other crochet, kimono-style cover-ups that won’t break the bank.
Let’s talk about sizing. I’m definitely not someone that wants a mega tight bathing suit, especially with the bottoms. & Other Stories suits do run a tad small so I would suggest ordering a size or 2 up depending on how you like the fit. I am really busty, as you can tell in these photos, so I ordered a size 8 top (I’m normally a small/med and a D/DD bust) and 8 bottoms to accommodate my assets. 😜
