It’s officially romper season and if you ask me, they are going to be the IT piece of summer. I feel like I’ve seen more jumpsuits, playsuits, rompers, etc. this year than any other year and man, are they cute! Most of y’all know of my romper struggles and how hard it is to find one that actually fits my long torso. No one wants to see a camel toe 24/7. 😳 On a more serious note, I would most likely, wear a romper every single day if I could. There’s no easier outfit than a romper or a maxi dress! Just throw it on and go, until you have to go to the bathroom and then you’ll definitely hate the decision to wear a romper all day long!
If any of you ladies are like me and can’t wear a romper because of your long torso, I’m going to share some tips so you can at least find a few different options to try. You’re still limited but not as much as you’d think.
1. Find a romper or jumpsuit that is off-the-shoulder. They are going to be your best friend. All of the rompers I’ve purchased lately have no straps so I can easily adjust them to the length I need for them to fit appropriately.
2. There are plenty of cute rompers that have tie up straps. This is another way you can easily adjust the length to fit you correctly and comfortably. Keep an eye out for some rompers that have adjustable straps too. Even if they don’t tie there are plenty available that you can loosen the straps to fit your torso as needed.
3. Look for brands that have “tall” options. These are a hit or a miss because tall could mean longer legs if it is a jumpsuit but if it is a romper then you should be good to go with a tall version.
This Chicwish romper totally fit the bill for what I have been looking for. I had a similar version of this romper last summer from the same company but have fallen even more in love with this one. I think it’s the exaggerated sleeves and ruffles! Of course, it was a definite winner in my book because it is OTS (off-the-shoulder) so I knew it would fit me perfectly! And thankfully, it did!
Rompers are some of the most versatile pieces, in my book. The fabric on this piece is so light weight yet so comfortable that you could wear this as a pool coverup and then throw it back on for a quick dinner date or drinks with friends. This romper also comes with a loose, white belt that you can tie in a bow. I ended up not wearing that for these photos because there was already so much going on with the ruffles I didn’t want it to be over the top. There are so many amazing things you can do with these rompers and so many belt options if you didn’t want to wear the belt that ties. You know those Gucci belts every blogger seems to have these days?? That would be gorgeous with this romper if you wanted to dress it up some!
I always suggest wearing a cute pair of wedges, espadrilles or booties with rompers to show of your sexy legs! Of course flip flops and sandals are ok but I love the illusion of having longer legs so I try and give myself a little more height when I can. ☺️
