{Rothy’s Flats}

{Rothy’s Flats}

If you know me on a personal basis you know that I am all about comfort. So much so that friends and family will look at my Instagram and be like when did you wear that?! Or I literally only see you in workout clothes. That’s because I am always out working, on set or at home doing more work. My life seems to revolve around comfy & casual clothes which means I need an equally comfortable pair of shoes I can wear 24/7. I’m known for wearing cutoff shorts, a tank and Tory Burch leather flip flops or workout clothes and tennies everyday but I needed a comfy update.

Rothy’s Flats:

That brings me to Rothy’s flats. I was recently working on a commercial when one of the talent showed up in the cutest flats. If you know me, I’m not one that wears flats but I was intrigued. She said she had been wearing that same pair for months and they still looked brand new. I started doing a little research on our lunch and was hooked.

So. Are Rothy’s flats worth the hype? YES. And here’s why.

They are extremely comfortable. I will say that I did notice a few blisters popping up on the back of my ankles after the first couple of wears. This is pretty typical of most new shoes though. After a few days my feet were acclimated. There’s something about them that just makes you feel like you’re not wearing shoes at all. Each knitted shoe fits like an extremely soft glove. Not only are they comfortable but they are extremely light weight.

Rothy’s flats are machine washable!! Yes, you read that right. You can throw these in the wash and they will look as good as new. I tried it and was amazed! It was pouring rain the first day I wore these out. Of course, I stepped on a patch of grass that I quickly sunk into and completely drenched these flats in mud. (You can probably see it in some of these photos) Right when I got home I took them off, took the insoles out and threw them in the wash. There are specific ways to wash these so pay attention. I let them air dry after the wash and they looked as good as the day I bought them.

All of these flats are durable and will last you forever. When I think of an environmentally or sustainable shoe I’m not immediately thinking of an attractive shoe. Rothy’s has done an amazing job creating a great shoe for the on-the-go woman. Not only are they made from low-waste, low-impact materials, they are each hand assembled for high quality and durability. Did y’all know that each and every pair of Rothy’s shoes are made from recycled water bottles? Over 15 million water bottles to be exact.

The only downside is the price tag. I know most of us don’t want to spend $125-$165 on a pair of flats. Just remember your cost per wear as I have mentioned in some of my other posts.

CPW = Total cost of the item / Number of days you’ll wear it

These flats are so versatile for work and everyday wear I guarantee you will get your money’s worth out of them. Go read some of the reviews if you’re still not convinced! I promise you’ll be hooked just like me.

I highly recommend testing out Rothy’s if you are a woman on the go or just on your feet all hours of the day. All of their shoes are extremely versatile. There is literally a style and fun print for whatever your style may be. I absolutely love a great basic, black or neutral shoe but I think my favorite has to be the leopard flats I am wearing below.

And to end this post on an even more exciting note… they even come in girl’s styles too!
