I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I started writing this post back in October and am just now getting around to finishing it. To say the last quarter of the year has been extremely busy is an understatement. I also haven’t felt much motivation to actually contribute to my own blog which is what used to bring me so much joy! Do people still read these things anymore!? I’ve decided that one of my goals for 2020 is to start writing and posting more. SO get excited! Especially today, because I’m sharing cute Fall shoes for both him and her!

Back in October Grayson and I had the chance to shoot some photos together for one of my collaborations with Born shoes. Normally, Grayson is the one behind the camera shooting all of my content. So when Zappos and Born graciously asked if Grayson would want to be a part of the collaboration, I quickly said yes before I could even ask him! Thankfully, he accepted with no hesitation! My good friend Andrew ended up shooting these photos and I loved them so much that I wanted to get them in one blog post.

Not to mention we absolutely love Born shoes so I couldn’t wait to rave about each of our styles. I’m just going to preface this by saying this blog post is not sponsored in the least bit. We actually love the shoes we got and wear them 24/7!

Cute Fall Shoes

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I am truly obsessed with these boots. I was drawn to them when I saw them online but it was true love when I put them on for the first time. Born shoes are known for their quality and comfort. When I saw the $145 price tag I knew that these are shoes that I am going to have for years and years to come. Sure, they are a bit of a splurge but shockingly, I’m not one that loves shopping.

My shopping style includes finding pieces that are going to last me at least 5-10 years. I focus on quality over quantity and use the price per wear motto when making a splurge purchase. Now, I wouldn’t say $145 is necessarily a huge splurge when it comes to a quality pair of leather boots but I know that is a lot of money if you aren’t going to get much wear out of them.

I wear these boots almost every day. They are extremely comfortable and they go with anything I could possibly wear. These are a great option if you’ve been looking for a pair of less aggressive combat style boots. Especially if you want a pair of boots that are versatile enough to wear them dressy or casual.

This particular style of boot is on sale for 10% off and priced at $130. These were extremely popular when I posted these on Instagram so if you’ve been eyeing them I would take advantage of the discount! They also run true to size.

Alright, let’s talk about Grayson’s shoes. He did an entire try on session with his outfit back in October that was just too funny! I was honestly shocked and am still shocked to see his love for these shoes. His daily uniform is basketball shorts, a ratty t-shirt and flip flops or vans topped off with his nasty LA hat. He owns one pair of jeans (the ones in these photos) and he rarely dresses up. And when I say dress up we’re talking jeans and a nicer t-shirt.

I guess I can’t really say much considering I wear workout clothes on a daily basis. He is always skeptical when I bring home clothes or shoes for him. So when I said he was getting a new pair of leather sneakers he uncaringly brushed it off. The shoes arrived and he tried them on and didn’t really say much.

Grayson has all of 6 pairs of shoes; flip flops, his wedding shoes, cowboy boots, old vans, casual sneakers and house shoes. I figured these would be another pair of shoes that we would add to his collection that would never get worn. That evening we were planning on going out to a little dinner spot where we live and he’s wearing the shoes! Obviously, I’m shocked, extremely excited but also like, Take those off, we haven’t shot them yet!

If that says anything about him and how picky he is, then you know that practically any guy would love these kicks. His shoes are called the Allegheny and run true to size. They are priced right at $90 and come in 5 different colors.

Overall, Grayson and I highly recommend both of our Born shoes especially at these price points. It’s rare to find a high quality leather shoe or boot for under $150, especially a men’s leather sneaker that’s only $90! Like I said before, they both work as a casual shoe and can easily be dressed up.
