Can you believe Steven and I shot these holiday photos back at the beginning of September? We got the cutest collaboration with Chewy to create matching dog and owner outfits for the holidays. I thought this was such a fun idea but also was slightly worried considering it was still 100 degrees outside in Austin. Either way, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the day that I could share these with y’all!
Chewy even did a fun little winter sweet style write up on us too! If you missed my Instagram Story sharing the article just click HERE. We make an appearance a couple of times in the article. Actually, Steven does because they totally cut me out. Which is fine… I guess. 🤣 Steven steals the show anyway!
Matching Dog and Owner Outfits for the Holidays
The moment I started styling Steven and I for this little shoot I figured it would be such a fun blog post to share tips on how to match your pet for the holidays. I know I’m a little late with posting this since most of y’all have already shot your holiday photos or Christmas card photos. Definitely save this post for next year’s Christmas cards or family pics!
Grayson and I don’t have kids so we treat Steven like he is our baby! Of course, we always get Steven’s outfits from Chewy. I’ve linked some of our favorite red, buffalo plaid sweaters below. For sizing reference, Steven is about 11 pounds and wears a size small. I believe his exact sweater is sold out now but I have linked it anyway along with some similar options.
If you’ve been following me for any amount of time you know that these boots have been a best seller of mine for months now. They are under $30 and amazing quality. I’ve also linked some similar snow boots that have also been a best seller. They are just like the red plaid boots but a little taller. They range in price from $41-$58 which is a steal! I do think they run a tad small so make sure to order up a half or full size depending on the thickness of your socks.
I wanted to keep my portion of the outfit a little more subtle so we didn’t clash too much. I opted for a buffalo plaid vest with a black long sleeve shirt underneath. The vest is priced under $30 and is extremely comfortable! I ended up sizing down to the XS for a more tailored fit. I’ve linked some of my favorite buffalo plaid pieces below.
If you are trying to match your pet for the holidays I definitely suggest finding your pet’s outfit or costume first. It is much easier to start matching your pet’s outfit than the other way around. Chewy and Amazon are both great resources to find really cute and inexpensive goodies for both you and your pet!
Outfit Details:
