I don’t know if I have been this excited for an outfit in a long time! It’s not that often that I actually find a summer dress that can be worn for any occasion. As most of y’all know by now I am a huge minimalist when it comes to clothing. When I find a dress that I can wear for practically any occasion I can think of, I buy it! You know what’s even better? This white lace dress is under $100 and fully stocked in all sizes.
Grayson’s and my 2nd wedding anniversary was last week and since we couldn’t celebrate last week that means date night soon! We planned the best date night at one of our favorite sushi spots this week and you can probably guess what I’ll be wearing. Yep, this white lace dress! 😜 The temps in Austin are heading towards 105+ so having something beautiful yet breathable is key. Not only would this be perfect for date night it would be perfect for an upcoming bridal shower! Do I have any brides reading this post? This would be such a stunning dress for a summer bridal shower, especially if you are on a budget.
The detailing on this dress is out of this world gorgeous. It reminds me of the Self Portrait dresses but at a fraction of the cost. Personally, I wouldn’t be spending that much money on a dress when I could find the exact same thing for much cheaper. If you want to dress this look up, just grab a clutch and you are good to go. I wanted to show y’all this could be the perfect casual summer dress by pairing it with a straw bag but it could also be easily dressed up with a nice clutch.
I always opt to wear my dresses with tall wedges or heels, depending on the occasion. Since this summer dress is on the dressier side, I wanted a classier heel. I have to have some height with midi dresses. When you wear heels you are giving the illusion of longer legs. Flats are still a great choice if you don’t need that extra height.
Let’s talk about sizing and fit. This white lace dress does run true to size. I am currently wearing a small in this dress and it fits perfectly. I suggest sizing down if you are in between sizes. The lace-up detailing in the back helps you get that perfect fit. Whether you are on the bustier side or don’t really have much going on up there, this dress is going to fit you like a glove. This is considered a midi dress which means it is going to hit mid-calf. Depending on how tall you are it might be a little shorter or longer. I am 5’8″ to give you a reference on fit.
