Who else is ready for the weekend? Grayson finally has a free weekend so in addition to date night we’ve got an exciting couple of days planned filled with Lego building! I went to the Lego store today to pick up that insanely massive Millennium Falcon that cost a mere $800, but it SOLD OUT in seconds apparently. I mean, really? People were supposedly in line outside the store in the mall at 7am when the actual mall doesn’t even open until 9am. Talk about dedicated! I went into the store today to see if I could swoon my way into having them hold one for me when more came in and they totally rejected my ass. I ended up settling for the cutest BB-8 that we were going to build Saturday and then Grayson insisted on simply opening the box which led to us building the entire thing in an hour. SO, that means we will be back at the Lego store Saturday to buy even more Lego’s to keep us entertained! Does anyone else obsess over Lego’s as much as I do?? I’ll have to show y’all our Lego room one of these days!
Alright, I guess I’ll get to the actual point of this post. I could seriously go on and on about Lego building but I’m sure most of y’all could care less about all of that! Unless you have kids, of course!
Let’s talk about this fabulous maxi dress for a moment. Have you ever just spotted that perfect dress and instantly fell in love? I feel like y’all probably hear me say this about any and every maxi dress but this one is so unique and actually extremely affordable so I decided to do an entire post on it. 🙂 So keep reading if you’re still looking for that perfect floral maxi dress that you can wear for any occasion because this one definitely has you covered. This tulle beauty is priced just under $80 and is absolutely stunning for any body type.
I think that’s why I fell in love with it because it is absolutely flattering on anyone and everyone. I am wearing the small and it fit me very well, even the length which is tough. It’s always hard to find maxi dresses that are actually long enough wearing flats and even harder to wear with a pair of heels. I’m only 5’8″ but even if I wear flats most dresses are way too short. This dress hit perfectly at the floor even with heels on, which was a huge win for me! The straps are also adjustable on the criss-cross back so you can make the top looser or tighter depending on your bust size.
The black floral print on the white tulle was also something else I fell in love with. It’s not a style you really see that often and it screams Fall! Even though it is technically a white summer dress I would 100% layer this with a leather/faux leather or suede moto jacket in the cooler months. The fact that this dress can transition easily into Fall is HUGE and well worth the money. You also don’t have to wear this as a dressy gown each time either. Like I said, pair it with a moto and some killer boots and you can easily edge it up! This dress is fully lined but as you can see in the photos there are high slits in the lining. The slits are low enough that nothing is going to show but it gives those extra sexy vibes to what would be a basic maxi dress. Overall, I highly recommend this dress to anyone who loves to wear head turning clothes that can be mixed and matched season after season.
