The moment when you realize you started this post 3 weeks ago. 🙄 What a crazy couple of weeks it’s been. I thought I would have extra time to catch up on blogging but work keeps getting in the way! Thankfully, I finally have this week to get some posts together and shoot some new content for you guys! In the meantime, say hello to your must-have summer dress. I know y’all have seen this lace-up dress on my Instagram but I wanted to get a full post up for y’all. This lace-up dress is one of my absolute favorites and its perfect for the extremely hot Texas weather.
SO. Who else is so over this 100 degree weather in Texas? It is getting way too hot outside and I’ve been struggling finding something I can wear during the day that I won’t get absolutely disgusting in. While on the hunt for finding this piece of clothing that would work in this Texas heat I came across this high-low dress from AKIRA.
It is strapless, laces up in the back and has the cutest chevron pattern! The colors are nice and light so they give the perfect summer vibes for a fun day of day brunching with a little rosé or even for a nice day on the beach with a pair of flats. This lace-up dress can pair perfectly with those new summer sandals you may have just bought or a cute pair of espadrilles you have laying around from the spring season.
The high-low style of this dress gives the illusion of there being more volume on the bottom of the dress than there actually is, but it is nice and lightweight so you won’t feel that the fabric is weighing you down. Another great thing about this lace-up dress is that it can be worn with a straw bag that has been all the rave this summer season, as you can see from my pictures I love wearing my bag with it too!
Sizing wise, I am wearing a small and it fits me really well. What I love about the lace-up dress style is that you can easily adjust the size if you need. This dress is fully stocked in ALL sizes so don’t miss your chance to own one of the best and most affordable dresses of the season!!
P.S. I just realized my brush is hanging out of my bag in almost every shot! 😂 Rookie mistake.
