{Splurge or Steal – Fall Capes}

{Splurge or Steal – Fall Capes}

The cooler days of Fall have finally arrived and that means time to start bundling up. If you’re like me, you don’t alway want to spend a fortune on winter clothes that you will only wear a couple months out of the year. With this month’s splurge or steal I have shown how you can achieve a two thousand dollar look without breaking the bank yet still staying chic and cozy!

My favorite capes for Fall that are all in Steal price range!

I always love a good splurge or steal! I’ve had a column in Austin Woman for about 3 years now and these are by far my favorite AND voted favorite by their readers. The best part is researching so many different high end styles and literally finding the exact replica in something that is 80% cheaper! Ya, the quality is going to be a little lower but clothing markup is insane, so I always stick to affordable! Unless it’s handbags and jewelry, of course.

For the November issue of Austin Woman Magazine I figured I would focus on one of the most popular styles for Fall; capes/ponchos. I literally can’t wait for the cooler weather so I can start sporting my cashmere ponchos with some skinny jeans and riding boots!! Except it’s November and still 90 degrees here!!

SO which is YOUR favorite?!

      Thank you!! I think people can definitely relate better with this column because it’s coming from an actual wardrobe stylist and not some random person trying to give style advice! haha

    What a great feature and I love the options for both the splurge and steal! I’m tempted to splurge on this one because I think I’d get so much wear out of it all winter long here in chilly MI.

    This splurge/steal savings is insane. All the pieces you found look exactly like the splurge. And love the outfit. I’m with ya, I don’t like spending a lot of winter clothes. I’d rather spend it on shoes & bags 🙂

    I love splurge vs. steal posts! Some items I think are totally worth a splurge ((mostly shoes and handbags in my case)) but its always nice to find a more affordable alternative!
