You know what’s bad? When you take blog photos on a beach vacation that happened months ago and then forget to post them. Now that it’s officially Fall, we will just call this a Resort Wear post for all of y’all who want to take a warm weather beach vacation during the cooler months. Surprisingly, I’ve found most of these beach fashion items in stock even though this was definitely shot during the heat of the summer. I’m even more surprised this Target lace bikini is still fully stocked.
Beach Fashion: How to Look Put Together
I don’t know about y’all but I feel like every time I go on a beach vacation I always look like such a slob. Well, I should preface that and say I looked like a slob before I started this blog. The beach is a place you want to relax, not wear makeup and just throw on whatever is lying around to head to the beach. Then there are those who still don’t want to wear any makeup but still look cute. I have one client that literally buys a new high dollar coverup every week.
Looking put together for the beach really isn’t that hard. I used to just throw a suit on, wrap up in a towel and walk down to the pool/beach and be good to go. Then I started going to some nicer beaches and realized I should probably step my laying out game up a little. 😂
When we were planning a trip to Hilton Head I really wanted to have some chic looking bathing suit coverups to wear out and about at the resort. Comfort is obviously key so I opted for these Vintage Havana pants and some cute sandals. I didn’t go overboard with my accessories but stuck with some cute and affordable statement earrings and a fun statement beach tote.
Bathing suits are always such a tough buy with how crazy sizing is. Not to mention, it seems like bathing suits are getting smaller and smaller these days. Overall, this suit fit pretty true to size. I normally wear a medium in Target suits but actually went to a small in this lace bikini top. I opted for a smaller size because this top clasps in the back. My rib cage is pretty small so going up to a medium was just way too big. I still stuck with a medium in the bottoms though because I need butt coverage! No one wants to see my chubby butt!
Good news for all of you guys that LOVED these Vintage Havana tassel pants. I found them in stock for $26! I wore these pants as a set in my post on Instagram but I found them sold separately. Sizing wise I am wearing a small and they do fit pretty true to size. The waist was a little large for me so I actually rolled the waist to give a snugger fit. If you were eying these I would definitely suggest snagging them before they sell out again!
I also found these Bill Blass bow shoes in stock and on sale for $45! Shockingly, the most popular sizes are still stocked but there aren’t many left. For those of y’all wondering, these do run true to size. If you are between sizes I definitely suggest going up a half size. I normally like to go up a half size in slides for a better fit.
