Well, so much for summer temps in Austin! As much as I had hoped the 80-90 degree weather would stay in our forecast, good things apparently have to come to an end. Insert sad face. I do have to say I am somewhat disappointed that it is now in the 40s and raining considering it is SXSW where thousands and thousands of people come to Austin to be outside! Saturday was my first official day of SXSW and it was MISERABLE! Obviously fun to be around my friends, but cold and rainy! YUCK! It was literally 50 degrees and pouring outside. Parking was such a nightmare that my friend and I had to pay to park, walk in the mud and go to events in the rain, while wearing suede shoes. No bueno!! Thankfully, the week ahead looks partly sunny and in the 60s. I’ll take it!
White Crochet Blouse:
Before the weather got so crappy I was able to shoot one of my favorite summer looks to date! I probably say that all the time… But you all know when you find that outfit and you just KNOW you look good and you just KNOW you’re going to wear it ALL the time. This is totally it for me. 😜 Besides the cellulite I had to edit out from my old ass wearing short shorts, this outfit is everything to me! One of my New Years resolutions was to actually dress cute during the summer and I am trying not to screw that one up. It’s always so easy to just throw on the same pair of shorts, tank top and flip flops and that’s exactly what I did last summer and practically every summer before that. Not this year! I’ve already started stocking up on cute blouses like the one in this post. If you know me, you know I don’t like splurging on clothes. I’d rather save my money, travel or have a nice bag! 😬
When I saw this top online I just knew that I had to have it! **On a side note, every time I say I just had to have it I think of that hilarious State Farm commercial where the guys are stealing the furniture..
If you are looking for a must-have top for spring and summer, this is it. I always gravitate towards white in the warmer months so I have been looking for tops with fun detailing so they don’t all end up looking the same. Priced at just under $50 this white crochet blouse is perfect. There is so much gorgeous detailing and the bell sleeve is such a fun addition! If you are wondering about fit, good question! I am wearing a size small and it seems to fit true to size. It is a billowy fit but also absolutely flattering. Just check out the photos below for more examples on fit while I’m standing, walking, and sitting! I hope y’all love it as much as I do!
I’ve also linked some of my favorite white blouses that are under $100 right below in the scroller. To shop, simply click on the image and it will take you to the website.
Can we talk about these shoes?? Normally I’m not one to just throw on a pair of brand new heels if I’m going to be on my feet longer than 8 hours. That sounds like a death sentence…BUT I had a good feeling about these so I gave it a shot and was highly impressed. Not only had I been walking around all day but my feet felt amazing afterwards. That probably sounds so ridiculous and sales-y, but I am serious!! I don’t know if it was the soft suede or the platform but they were heaven on my feet!! It doesn’t hurt that they look amazing too! 😍 I would highly suggest these shoes if you are looking for that one IT pair for the summer.
