This tuxedo cape post has been such a long time coming! I don’t know what has happened to me and my time management skills lately but I have majorly dropped the ball on this one. I shot these photos before the end of 2017 and I am JUST now getting around to posting this gorgeous tuxedo cape and lace top by Laundry by Shelli Segal. Better late than never, right? Guess what?? They are BOTH currently on sale!
Even though Spring and Summer are upon us this tuxedo cape is the perfect addition to any wardrobe. Not only is this the perfect weather for this type of look but the cape is actually removable! You are left with a beautiful black vest that can be worn during the warmer months. I always gravitate towards capes if I need a dressier look but don’t want to be over the top.
I love pairing capes like these with either dark skinny jeans or black leggings. You really want to wear something with a slimmer leg to give your body some shape. No one wants to look frumpy! I opted for a very affordable pair of leggings from Zara and a pair of OTK (over the knee) boots. Since there is so much black going on I wanted to break that up to give a little depth. I found this gorgeous lace cami/tank from Laundry. The detailing is absolutely stunning! It is also on mega sale as well!
Both of these pieces fit true to size. If you’ve been considering buying something similar I definitely suggest taking advantage of this sale. I can’t image these pieces staying in stock much longer with the weather warming up!
