Happy Humpday, friends! Today has been such a whirlwind with prepping for a commercial job I having coming up plus shooting one of my Halloween makeup looks for the blog! I’m currently sitting in my dining room finishing up this blog post in full skeleton body makeup that’s been half smeared off on the burrito I just ate. I’m like don’t touch ANYTHING!!! It’s a little ridiculous looking… If you want a sneak peek of what I currently look like, go check out my Instagram Stories (@dtkaustin). I figured I should get this post wrapped up before I douse myself in Extra Virgin Olive Oil to get this body paint off. Should be an interesting process since you can’t put olive oil down the drain! Guess I’ll be getting a scrub down in the yard! 🙄
On to more important topics, like this post I am super excited about! I don’t know about y’all but I LOVE cold weather so living in Texas doesn’t seem like the right place for me. Anyway, I crave the cold weather so I am stocking up on any cozy sweater I see, including this comfy mock turtleneck I found at Boohoo. If you didn’t see my post yesterday I was raving about Boohoo and how they have a pop-up in Austin tomorrow!! Check out that post HERE for more details.
I scored this sweater for under $50 and sadly it has been selling out SO fast so I have linked an extremely similar option below. Most all of their products are under $100 and extremely affordable, that’s why I am obsessed with everything on their site. If you are in the market for anything Fall related or any staple basics, definitely check them out. They are one of the largest UK women’s online fashion retailers and have extremely fast shipping, which I was extremely excited for.
I’m getting off on a tangent on other things than what this post is actually about… I wanted to share with y’all how to wear a chunky sweater with multiple bottoms and shoes. The first look I played safe, which is what I presume most everyone would be wearing with this sweater; jeans and OTK boots or heels with a fun statement. This is definitely something I would be wearing every single day during the winter because it’s such an easy look to throw on and go. On the other hand, if you are looking for a way to spice things up or if you live in a warmer climate but still want to throw on some Fall-wear, try wearing this sweater with some cutoff shorts and OTK boots. Wearing tall boots with shorts gives the illusion of longer legs especially while wearing an oversized sweater.
Jeans – Mott & Bow // Shorts – American Eagle
