I recently wrote an article for Austin Woman Magazine about what timeless style is all about. With this project, I styled and modeled multiple outfit examples of what a 20 year old all the way to a 60 year old could easily pull off. I feel like lately I have been hearing so many people in their 40s-60s wondering if their style was too old looking for them but they weren’t sure how to pull off similar looks that I was personally wearing. It’s not about how to pull off exact looks that I am sharing with everyone, it’s about implementing certain pieces with your current wardrobe to help build your own style that fits your personality and age. A 60 year old doesn’t have to dress like a 60 year old but can mix in those pieces that fit their style better. Most tell me they don’t feel 40, 50 or even 60, they feel 30 but don’t want people to think they are trying too hard to be young again. This magazine article has 5 looks for any occasion that ANYONE at ANY age can pull off.
In a world of ever-evolving wardrobe trends, a common thread remains: Classic fashion never goes out of style. Here are my top 5 looks that made their way into the magazine. Outfit details are below each photo.
