I feel like we’re in the day and age where printing out and framing photos is a thing of the past. Technological advances have changed the way we interact with our own photos. Growing up in the 80s we didn’t have the luxury of having cell phones or digital cameras. I remember the days when I would get a disposable camera in my Christmas stocking. Or the times that I would get ONE disposable camera on vacation. Then I was told I had to be picky with what I took photos of because developing film was so expensive and time consuming. Could you imagine waiting days to see your photos only to realize they all came out bad? I remember the days when my dad would shoot photos of me on his Nikon with Kodachrome 100 35mm film. We consider that vintage these days!
The way we store photos has even changed. I used to love taking Polaroids or getting photos to hang all over my walls or put in frames back in the day. I would even spend my time making the cutest scrap books with some of my favorite memories. Now, you walk into my house and there are absolutely no photos on display anywhere. They are all on my phone, all 21,000 of them. Or they are on an external hard drive that hasn’t been viewed in years. How sad is that?? Oh, how the times have changed. I can’t remember the last time I actually printed and framed a photo. And I think that needs to change.
We no longer have to be picky with what types of photos we are taking. Technology has made us realize we can take as many photos as we want and just throw them all on social media. No need to be picky or worry about the financial aspect of taking a few photos. We have an unlimited photo taking machine right in the palm of our hands. I feel like we need to change this mindset in millennials. Actually, it’s practically everyone at this point! Social media is not the new picture frame or photo album.
My wedding photos even went unprinted for over 2 years until a couple weeks ago. Nations Photo Lab reached out to me about creating a custom wedding album for me. My first thought was OMG YES!!! I loved the idea of having a gorgeous coffee table book made with all of our wedding photos in one place to share with guests. My second thought was oh dear, I don’t have time to go through ALL of my wedding photos for this.
Let me tell you… This process was so easy. If you have ever wanted to have a custom wedding album made online, this is the place to do it. I went to the site and picked the type of album I wanted along with all of the specifications. If that wasn’t easy enough, I submitted hundreds of wedding photos for them to choose from for my book design. Praise be, that was easy!
Within a couple of weeks I received the most gorgeous custom wedding album I had ever seen. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I didn’t give them any design direction but I was absolutely blown away. This wedding album is the most beautiful book I have ever seen. No joke. Even better, they used so many of the images I sent and even organized them in the most stunning layout.
Here are the specs of our custom wedding album –
Album Type – Album99 which is currently ON SALE!

We also had the front of the album embossed with Mr. and Mrs. Goff.
The price of my specific album was originally $149 and came out to $127 with the discount code. Y’all, this is SO WORTH IT. I want everyone to have one of these made. And no, I don’t get a commission on album orders! I wrote this entire post for y’all because I truly loved these books so much.
This album is so sentimental and is something I will cherish forever. You don’t have to worry about picture frames cluttering up your house. I feel like we’re seeing less and less framed photos these days. Not only because people are printing photos less and less but the fact that they don’t go with a lot of people’s decor. This book is something that I can easy show off in my home. It flows with my color palette and is so chic with my decor.
Nations Photo Lab is also running a huge promo that you don’t want to miss out on. They are offering $22 off the the type of album I ordered. This link will take you direct to the album and has automatically applied your discount. You can also click any of the images below and it will take you direct to order.
The holidays are coming up and these would make such an amazing, personal and sentimental gift to your friends, family and loved ones.
