Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, friends! I promised myself that I would only focus on key pieces that I would actually wear. Just think, quality over quantity! I will not share one single piece of clothing, shoes, etc. that I personally don’t love. Honestly, no one should be going into debt because of this sale and no one should feel the need to purchase everything. That is unrealistic and just not smart.

I feel like everything in this post are pieces that are going to sell out the quickest. So let me reiterate… If you want something order it right when you see it. I’m not joking when I say that you need to make multiple orders quickly. Things will sell out while they are in your shopping cart and like years past, they aren’t restocking much.

SHOP ALL OF MY NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE TRY-ON SESSION LOOKS

You know what I love about sales like these? You can really find staple pieces that will literally last you years and years; season after season. I recently filmed a try-on session with some of my absolute favorite pieces from past Nordstrom Anniversary Sales. You know these are good when I haven’t sold them on Poshmark yet! 😂

If you missed out on this vest last year you are in luck!! Via Spiga came out with a nearly identical faux fur vest but in a chevron pattern. I sized down to the XS and think it fits great with a thin long sleeve shirt underneath. If you are planning on wearing thicker sweaters or tops underneath then stick with your usual size.

This faux leather hooded moto jacket/blazer has to be one of the most unique pieces from this sale. I’ve honestly never seen anything like this so it was one of the first things I put in my cart. This jacket does run on the smaller side so stick with your usual size if you normally size down in blazers or go up a size.

This Barefoot Dreams cardigan is probably one of my top favorites every single NSALE. These pieces sell out the quickest so make sure you grab one before they sell out. Sadly, the beige color isn’t on the sale this year but there are 4 other gorgeous colors! I wear the size XS/S for reference.

BlankNYC NSALE Must Have Pieces

This army green color is one of the new 2021 NSALE colors for the BlankNYC Moto jacket. It is such a great neutral and can be paired with pretty much any color! I am wearing a size small in this particular jacket but usually wear the XS.

Sizing in these jackets really depends on what you plan to wear underneath. If you’re like me and just wear think tops I would suggest sizing down for a more fitted look. If you plan to wear thicker tops or sweaters underneath I would suggest sticking with your usual size or sizing up.

By now y’all probably know that I am slightly addicted to the BlankNYC Moto jackets. Thankfully, each NSALE always has a variety of these jackets on sale so I stock up! These jackets are so versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. I usually wear the XS if I am planning on wearing lightweight tops underneath. If you plan to wear thicker tops or sweaters I suggest going up a size.

This sweater and suede skirt have to be one of my favorite outfits from NSALE! I saw this sweater online and wasn’t 100% sold on it but it is even better in person! I ordered up to the size medium because it does run on the smaller side. It has shoulder padding that is not removable but they make such a chic added detail to a basic cable knit sweater.

These skirts are always a fan favorite during NSALE. Each and every year BlankNYC comes out with a new version of this suede skirt in the beige and grey color. And every single year I buy one! I love this year’s version with the zipper going down the front. You can position the zipper on either side or in the middle.

I always size down in these skirts because I love a tighter fit. There is nothing worse than wearing a skirt that keeps riding up on you as you walk or move around. If you want a looser fit then stick with your usual size.

This is one of the comfiest jackets of this year’s NSALE. It is such a nice, oversized fit that makes you feel like you’re wrapped up in a cozy blanket. I sized down to the XS because it is an oversized fit. It does come in a black on black version, which I actually ordered.

This jacket is only $54 from $98 and comes in 4 colors!

Say hello to another super comfy jacket! This jacket reminds me of the Free People jacket that everyone was going crazy over last year. Sadly, I never got my hands on one to compare but I absolutely love this version from BlankNYC! It is beyond comfortable and oh so soft! I sized down to the XS in this jacket as well because it does run on the larger side.

It is only $70 from $128 and comes in 2 colors!

This faux leather bomber jacket is a must have. It has a built in hoodie that is also removable! I absolutely loved the plum color and grey together but it does come in black on black as well. You know I had to order that too. I did size down in this jacket because it does run a little large. It’s only $54 from $98!

And last but not least for my BlankNYC try-on is this French Terry sweatshirt! It does have matching pants as well that are sold separately. And these pieces come in 2 colors as well! I size up to a medium in this sweatshirt.

HOW TO WEAR THE SPANX PERFECT BLACK PANT SKINNY PANTS DIFFERENT WAYS

Spanx is now price matching every thing that is on NSALE over on their website. This is such a great idea, especially with so much selling out on the Nordstrom site. Now you are pretty much assured you will get what you want, in your size. I am sharing multiple ways to wear their famous Perfect Black Pant Back Seam Skinny Pants.

First off, I have to say that these pants surpassed my expectations! I have always been a huge fan of the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings but had never tried out their black pants. These fit like an absolute dream! They are extremely flattering, are high waisted and really work with your body type.

I am wearing the size small and think these fit very true to size. I am also 5’8″ for reference and think these are the perfect length on me. These are extremely versatile to where you could easily dress these up or dress them down. I am sharing a few looks above for how you can get away with wearing a basic tank top all the way to a dressier blazer or blouse and then edge it up with a Moto jacket.

Next up are these Spanx biker shorts! This is actually the first pair of biker shorts I have owned since I was a kid. I have to say, I absolutely love them. They are even more versatile that I thought. Not only can you wear them to workout but you can wear them out and about!

I am wearing the size small and think they fit very true to size. I am also wearing a size Small in this sports bra. If you are busty I would suggest sizing up. This is a low impact sports bra style but I did link a more supportive sports bra above!

HOW TO WEAR THE SPANX Faux Leather Joggers DIFFERENT WAYS

If y’all love Spanx faux leather leggings you are going to love their faux leather joggers. They launched these last year and I had done an huge try on session with different ways to wear them. I’ve never seen a pair of faux leather joggers so I was extremely excited to get my hands on these. I was even more excited when I saw that they were going to be on NSALE too! If you didn’t get your hands on them last year, grab them quick!

I am wearing the size small and think that they fit very true to size. They have an elastic waistband along with functional front pockets. If you love joggers you will love these!

Spanx did it again and came out with a fabulous new print in their most popular Booty Boost leggings! I think this marble print is so fun for summer! If y’all haven’t heard me rave about this particular pair of leggings they are my favorite style of active wear leggings from Spanx.

Not only do they smooth you out but they give your booty such a nice lift! And that is a dream for someone that doesn’t have a booty; like me! I wear the size small in this particular pair of leggings but would suggest sizing up if you don’t like super tight leggings. They fit absolutely amazing though. There is no front middle seam so you don’t have to worry about that dreaded camel toe and the thicker high waist band smooths everything out.

I am wearing a size small in this sports bra but suggest sizing up if you are busty. I definitely needed the medium! It is a low support, low impact sports bra that doesn’t have a ton of support so don’t plan to do any intense workouts in it.

These Spanx Get Moving Shorts have quickly become a favorite of mine! These are absolutely perfect if you want a pair of biker shorts but don’t want to feel so exposed. I also love the fact these are a shorter length with wind shorts paired over them. Most biker shorts I have found are just way too long for me and don’t look that flattering on me.

I am wearing the size small in these and think that they fit very true to size. These sold out quick on the Nordstrom site but they are all price matched on the Spanx website as well.

And then they came out with a Get Moving Skort version with biker shorts underneath! I can’t remember the last time I have actually worn a skort but I really do like the fit and style! It comes in 4 colors but I’m honestly not sure which colors are going to be price matched. This sold out so fast on the Nordstrom site but thankfully, Spanx is price matching this piece as well.

I am wearing the size small and think it fits true to size. If you like a looser fit in your Spanx, order a size up.
