How is everyone’s week going? Hooray we’re almost to Friday! This week has been one of my most relaxing in quite some time. I’ve had a little break from work, the shoulder is feeling a little better and I’ve been able to sleep in some! Talk about rare and absolutely amazing!! Makes me miss my younger years where I could sleep until 11am without having a care in the world or any responsibilities for that matter! What are y’alls plans for the weekend?? Austin is apparently getting a cold front later in the weekend and we’ll be back in the 40s-50s… JOY! There is absolutely no way I’m pulling all of my winter wear back out of storage. I’m thinking I’ll just stay in bed and snuggle with Mr. Steven to keep me warm! ☺️
Before the cold weather hit I wanted to shoot this gorgeous spring dress. And what do you know… It’s white! 😜 I find it quite comical that my entire Instagram and blog consist of all white looks these days. Can you tell I am summer ready??
More importantly, if you’ve been on the hunt for that perfect, white summer dress, search no more. I have found the most flattering lace dress under $65 from Chicwish! I’m sure most people would look at this dress and think it is way too dressy to wear as an “everyday” piece. Don’t get me wrong, I would definitely wear this LWD for date night or to church but it is so versatile that you can easily create a few casual looks as well. I love the idea of throwing a leather jacket on if the weather gets a little chilly or even wearing it out for a picnic with a pair of lace up sandals to dress it down some.
Let’s talk about sizing. For me, this dress fit pretty true to size, but if you are in between sizes or somewhat busty, I would suggest ordering a size up. The top portion of this dress was pretty tight on me so I wasn’t able to wear my normal bra, only pasties! I know most people don’t prefer going braless (I know I don’t). So, if you are normally a small but need a little more room up top, I would definitely suggest ordering a medium and tailoring in the sides at the waist, if needed. The sleeves fit around my arms comfortably and the length was absolutely perfect. I love dress hems hitting above my knee to give the illusion of longer legs and this dress definitely hit the mark. It is also fully lined which is a huge plus!
