You guessed it. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale or NSALE is back and it’s going to be a big one. In preparation for this sale I wanted to give everyone a few helpful tips and tricks to strategically shop the NSALE. If you’re not familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, here’s the scoop. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the biggest sales of the year. The one time of the year where every single blogger will be dressed the exact same… While also suffering to shoot winter wear in 100 degree heat. Yes, we’re crazy. This sale is just too good we can’t resist.

I’m sure those of you who aren’t familiar with NSALE are wondering why this sale is so huge? Pre-Fall and Fall styles are released at major discounts for a short period of time. These items go back to full price once the sale is over and some don’t get restocked. Some pieces sell out within hours or days. Take my word for it, place your order right when you see it.

Helpful tips to get prepared for the 2019 NSALE –

Do your research. Seriously. Check out the catalog before the sale actually starts. Have an idea of what you are looking for before you actually shop. If you are shopping early access there really isn’t much time to waste when picking items out, especially online. I always make a list of key pieces I am looking for to transition into Fall and/or get me through Fall and Winter.

If you are shopping online; SHOP FAST! If you are eyeing something, put it in your shopping cart and purchase immediately. Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns so please, take advantage. There is no penalty with placing 10 orders in a row. If I post something on Stories or you see something on the LiketoKnow.it app, buy right then. You really don’t have the luxury of thinking long and hard about Nordstrom anniversary sale purchases. I can’t tell you how many times something sold out after 5 minutes of me putting it in my cart online.

Make sure you have an appointment with a personal shopper or sales associate at Nordstrom. Send your list of pieces you are looking for to your sales associate. They can get a room prepped for you with your desired items before they sell out. I always am shopping for boots, booties, moto jackets, anything cashmere, cami tops and cardigans.

Schedule your Personal Triple Points Day during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. You will earn a $20 Note for every $334 you spend on your Personal Triple Points Day. This will add up QUICK. One of my clients ended up getting a $420 Nordstrom Note from shopping the NSALE a couple years ago.

Note the exact dates of NSALE. They are doing things a little differently this year. I have listed the need-to-know dates below.

NSALE Dates to remember –

This is the most important, so pay attention!! You HAVE to have a Nordstrom card to shop early access. If you do not have a Nordstrom card you won’t be able to shop until July 19! You do run the risk of items being sold out. They do restock but not everything gets restocked. If you are dying to shop this sale early I suggest you sign up for a Nordstrom Card but if that’s just not for you then focus on shopping on July 19. Keep in mind, Nordstrom is no longer offering their debit card but will still honor use of the Nordstrom Debit Card.

Benefits of having a Nordstrom Card –

You earn 2 points per dollar spent in stores and online at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club.

You will also get a $60 bonus Nordstrom Note when you make any purchase with Nordstrom on your new card they day you are approved. Nordstrom Notes are essentially free money that you can spend.

How can you shop NSALE with me?

If I can instill any advice on what pieces to purchase I highly recommend the Thread & Supply fleeces. They were one of the hottest items last Fall and sold out multiple times and they weren’t even on sale! I know that these fleeces are going to go the quickest so make sure you stock up ASAP before they’re gone. Pieces DO sell out and don’t get restocked.
