Happy Monday, friends!! Grayson and I are finally back from our amazing mini-moon at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale and already back to work. Can I just tell you how hard it is coming back from such a perfect getaway!! I’m already having major withdrawals from that amazing resort!! More to come on that in another post, so stay tuned!! Since we’re back and the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is still going on, I’ve teamed up with some amazing gals to go in on a HUGE gift card giveaway that’s at the bottom of this post.
I’m sure most of you know by now that I am a HUGE fan of dresses, especially maxi dresses. If you see me out and about in Austin, or really wherever, I am either in workout clothes or a maxi dress. I literally live in dresses because they are so easy and comfy!! So, of course, this blog post is on yet another, maxi dress!! But this one is even more fabulous than the others and can’t wait to share why!
Before the honeymoon I was perusing, what seemed like, hundreds of websites trying to find the best vacation clothes to accommodate the 100+ degree weather in Arizona. After getting all of my boxes in from my intense online shopping, I quickly realized I ordered ALL maxi dresses… ha!! And you will definitely see with my next 2-3 Arizona blog posts or even my Instagram posts, it’s ALL maxi dresses! I can definitely say I made the right choice though because I was comfortable the entire time and the heat wasn’t an issue!
Anyway, I’m rambling on! SO, I have to talk to you about the dress I’m wearing in these photos. I saw it on the Lulu’s website and literally fell in love. It came in about 10 different colors and looked absolutely amazing on the model. Which then I think… It looks amazing on her, but it is actually going to fit me and look flattering?! I ordered it anyway with a couple other things in hopes I’d look like a super model too! The packaged arrived a few days later and I immediately threw this dress on closing my eyes until the big reveal to myself! And HOLY COW, I was in love!!! I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing, versatile maxi dress.
I know I always talk about how versatile these types of dresses are but let me just rave about this dress a little more. When I buy online and can’t try things on I get a little concerned about a few things. #1, the length. I’m pretty tall but also have that long torso, so maxi dresses always come up a little short normally. Thankfully, this dress was long enough and it has adjustable straps in the back. The fabric is extremely high quality and this dress is fully lined so you have that added comfort of not being able to see through what you’re wearing!
I wore this dress to one of our more casual dinners, if you can believe that. The thing I love about this dress is that you can really dress this baby up or dress is down. Since I wore it on the more casual side, I threw on a new white bag I got from Leather Satchel Co. I thought it would really pop against the dark blue. I also paired a really cute pair of Sole Society sandals with everything, even though you can’t see them in the shots! I promise, they are really cute and tied everything together really well! 🙂 If you have any type of events coming up, weddings, parties, dinners, travel events, etc. this dress is amazing and I would literally consider buying it in all of the colors! It’s only $60 too! Such a steal!!
