Happy Wednesday! Who else is beyond excited this week is almost over? It has been one stressful week and I’m ready for a major refresh this weekend. I desperately wish I had time to go on a vacation because I don’t think I’ve needed one more than ever at this point. I’m sure you’re all wondering what’s going on. Isn’t it so annoying when people say something is wrong but then they never actually tell anyone? Anyway, I am currently wondering if having shoulder surgery was a good idea. Obviously, I needed it or I would have extreme issues in the future but this recovery process is HELL. Not anything like I had expected. Being overdramatic isn’t even the case and I wish it was. I dread going to my surgeon to hear that I’ve made no progress, only to get painful injections and more PT that isn’t helping. It’s now looking like I will have to go back under anesthesia for the surgeon to manipulate my arm to try and fix the axillary nerve damage and break up all of the scar tissue that has built up from being so immobile. It’s a never ending cycle of being in pain! Not fun.
Enough of my ridiculous shoulder issues; can we just take a moment and admire how amazing this top is?? Do y’all ever find those articles of clothing that you love so much you end up buying them in every color? That is exactly what I did with this top! It comes in THREE colors and they are all amazing!
This has been such a great transitional top from winter to spring in Austin. Our weather is so bipolar on a daily basis that you really have to dress for cold and warm weather. The mornings are pretty chilly and the afternoons will get up in the 70s and 80s so for this particular look I paired this top with a cute pair of cut-off shorts and booties. The fabric is so light weight that is actually breathes pretty well. I was pleasantly surprised! If you’re not a cut-off shorts kinda gal, don’t worry, I’ve got a ridiculously long list of the different type of ways you can pull this top off. I’ll jot down a few of my favorite ways I would wear this top right now and into the summer.
First, obviously denim or white cut-off shorts or even a white skirt would be my go-to. It’s practically almost summer here so if I’m wearing long sleeves I need to be cool somewhere on my body! Throw on a pair of denim or white skinny jeans, a pair of wedges and let the top do all of the talking. Who wouldn’t love those gorgeous bows and bell-sleeves?? If you’re headed to the beach or a breezy vacation I would definitely wear this top with a pair of wide leg linen pants. Lastly, if you want to really dress this top up, pair it with a sleek pencil skirt and heels. It would look absolutely gorgeous tucked in for business meetings or for a day at the office.
This top can be pretty dressy but you can also really dress it down like I am showing in this post. That’s exactly why I fell in love with it. Literally, any occasion I find myself in, this top would work. I don’t know if I’ll be wearing it in the middle of a Texas summer, especially if I am spending the day outside, but it is such a great option for locations that don’t have such brutal summers.
