From my early childhood until the end of high school I was an avid soccer player and absolutely loved being healthy and fit. When I started college, fitness was the last thing on my mind with being a full-time architecture student with no life or any time to go workout. I would ALWAYS tell myself to go work out, start eating healthier, get a routine going, but nothing motivated me. This was literally me until this year! Turning 30 made me a little more motivated to get my ass into shape!
Grayson and I started working out religiously this year and every time we would go to the gym I would have a handful of stuff because I refused to buy a gym bag. Whenever I think of gym bag, I think of those meat head, muscle men with the tiniest gym bags thrown over their shoulders! Haha, you all know the type!! So I would literally carry my phone, water bottle, headphones, sandals and a bathing suit if we were going to use the pool. I legit looked so stupid!!
I finally caved a few months ago and started bringing in a “gym” bag… Which is more like one of my BP totes from Nordstrom, but hey, it totally works! And I carry that thing around with me EVERYWHERE in the gym; to the machines, the elliptical, yoga, anywhere! People still probably make fun of me, but it literally has all of my essentials in it AND Grayson even puts his stuff in there too. So technically it’s multipurpose!
With this post, I wanted to give y’all a sneak peek at some of the basic necessities I carry around in my gym tote to get me through a great workout and through the day until I can make it home. I’m sure most of y’all can relate that most of us girls aren’t the hard core fitness types… After a great gym sesh I still need to look semi-presentable to go run errands before I head home, so I’ve narrowed down the best go-to products to keep me fresh and looking great even after sweating my booty off.
With that being said, let me introduce you to SweetSpot Labs, a collection of natural feminine washes and wipes that are balanced for our “sweet spot” but can be used as an all over body wash and wipe, if needed. Your lady parts will thank you for this one! Most days at the gym I have about 45min to an hour to get a workout in and not much time after to freshen up. Definitely no time for a full on shower. I’m one of those that works out, quickly freshens up and then wears around the same workout clothes until I can make it home to shower. I know, I know, this is so gross and I normally feel so disgusting! It has made a world of difference after my workouts! Ladies, you know that feeling of wearing the same sweaty underwear after working out. NO BUENO! I bring a change of undies, use the wipes and I am seriously feeling amazing until I get home!

Normally, I will rinse my face off and then hydrate my skin with Evian Facial spray and I’m good to go until I can get home. I also bring a small bottle of essential oil from Theis Raiford to dab on so I can smell better than a gross, sweaty mess!
Another gym bag must is a great pair of headphones! Duh! I would DIE of boredom if I didn’t have my headphones! I remember a time when I forget them and lasted about 20 minutes and then left. Workouts are not my favorite and I really need to keep myself occupied or I am just miserable! SO, my bag is filled with my Sudio headphones, my iPhone and an iPad.
