How is this weekend already over?? Am I the only one that thought the last couple of days flew by? I was expecting a relaxing weekend filled with rain and snuggles with Steven but it was the complete opposite… Sunny, humid, 105 degrees outside and lots of house work. Even though it’s so hot outside I still keep getting all of the Fall feels with winter wear already making an appearance! Something I wanted to focus on with today’s post is adding some fun accessories to your more simple outfits in the fall. I am always on the hunt for edgier pieces to spice up my outfits and recently came across Jenny Bird.

As I talked about in my previous post you’ll definitely see me rocking a lot of black throughout the Fall season. Most of my Fall/Winter looks are on more of the basic side so I really look to jewelry and accessories to jazz up my looks but still stick within a budget. That’s where Jenny Bird comes in. I am in LOVE with jewelry that makes a statement and their pieces kill it. Not only are they affordable but they extremely well made. I ended up order what felt like half of the website… ha! But literally, I ordered 8 pieces!! A variety of gold everything; chokers, a regular necklace, some earrings, and a few fun bracelets.
The gold bangles I’m wearing in these photos are amazing as they make it extremely easy to mix and match between them all. They are some of my new favorite statement pieces for the fall and they are well within your budget. The thicker cuff is nice and simple but still has that pop of gold with a black leather band attached, but when paired with this snake bracelet it adds a little extra oomph to the look. Don’t be afraid to layer up! I’m telling you guys it’s all in the details!! If you feel like your outfit is missing something, find some fun earrings, a chunky necklace, or some mix-n-match bracelets and you’ll be set!
Speaking of layering…these necklaces were a fun addition too! They are actually two separate chokers but felt they complemented each other really well so I decided to stack them on top of one another. I’ve linked a few of my go-to necklaces and bracelets from Jenny Bird below in the scrollers for easy shopping! Just click the item and you will be taken straight to the item to shop.
Let’s chat about how amazing this crossbody is… Henri Bendel has been killing it with their Fall bags and this mini trunk bag has been on my list for MONTHS! Literally, months… I decided to splurge because I knew I would actually wear it all the time. It’s the perfect addition to any look now into the cooler months. A dark burgundy handbag always adds to a basic outfit if you’re in need of some added color (if this dark shade is even considered color). Ha! An added bonus to this purse is that the gold accents on it match perfectly with the bracelets I’m wearing. It’s a win, win!
Now to the funny part… SO, I’ve had this bodysuit for some time now and have only worn it once because bodysuits are always too short on me with my long torso… I pulled it out of the closet thinking that it would be the PERFECT “top” to wear backwards (lace in front) with all of this gorgeous Jenny Bird jewelry so I threw it in the car before even trying it on. I’m notorious for wearing all of my lace-up tops backwards and have never really had any issues but MY GOSH, I should have tried it all on at home. We started shooting and Grayson was like OMG, your boobs are totally out… I get home to go through photos and 😳 SO BAD. Hence the reason I only have a few photos in this actual post with strategic arm and cardigan placement… bad, bad, bad. It definitely gave us a good laugh!
Anyway, this bodysuit has sold out but I’ve linked a couple others below that you can actually wear lace forward without being completely exposed.
