Can you believe it’s already November? This has to be one of my favorite times of the year. Chillier temperatures, an evening in with the fire burning, hot coco, Starbucks holiday cups, family time and so much more! Is there anything better than snuggling up next to a fire with a hot cup of coco with lots of marshmallows? I don’t know what it is but I am a much happier person when the weather is cooler and the holidays are around the corner. I’ve already started decorating the house with new Christmas decor I just scored this week!! All we need is our fake Christmas tree and we’re good to go! Did y’all know I’m allergic to real trees???
Let’s talk rompers… One of the greatest articles of clothing ever created. You can dress them up or down and can wear them for absolutely any occasion. No matter what your body type is, there is ALWAYS a romper for you. They are great for accentuating your waistline to add some cute curves to your body or to add a little bit of flirt to your booty. No matter what your opinions are about rompers, they WILL look good on you.
Since I can remember I was always someone that absolutely had to wash my hair every single day or I didn’t feel clean. Then, I started getting my hair colored more and more and realized my color started fading quicker and quicker with the frequency I was washing my hair. Once I became self employed I realized I could probably get away without washing my hair for a day and just throw it up in a ponytail. That one day turned into 3-5 days and I started only washing my hair maybe once or twice a week. I guess slathering my scalp with dry shampoo became the norm at one point. Except that every time I would go in to see my hair stylist she would have to deal with a disgusting mess that was called Ashley’s hair!

Probably because all of my other clothes are in storage since we STILL haven’t finished this renovation. We’re still lacking a kitchen and have decided to hold off on the master bath/closet remodel until next year so we can actually MOVE IN!!
Anyway, this dress is on major sale!! I purchased it from new Austin boutique; Cove, but purchased the very last one!! SO get all of my outfit details below!

Most of you who follow me on Instagram saw the GORGEOUS dress I was wearing at the Jonathan Simkhai event at Neiman Marcus Austin, but I just had to do a full post on it to show how absolutely stunning it is. It fit me like a glove and I felt like it was one of those meant to be dresses. You know how that goes…
Whilst all of the garment perusing and champagne drinking was occurring I had time to sit down with Jonathan and get a few details on the inspiration behind his collection. If you haven’t seen his pieces yet, check them out here. He has his collection in quite a few prestigious locations such as Neiman Marcus, ShopBop and Net-a-Porter.
Originally from New York, Simkhai, was briefly in town to show off his collection and head to ACL for the weekend. After chatting about how amazing Austin is and how I need all of his clothing, he let me in on a few secrets. The main inspiration behind his collection was a vintage alligator skin cigar box he found at a vintage store in New York. He wanted his collection to have a classic, manly feel that would appeal to any and every female. I also wondered… After basing his entire collection on one amazing cigar box; he had to have bought it, right?! NOPE! With a hefty price tag of $2,700 he told me he would rather use that money towards designing a collection, and that’s just what he did.
Check out one of his most popular dresses that sold out on Net-a-Porter in less than 8 hours!
