Vacations are always such a blast until you actually have to start packing… I miss those good ole’ days before blogging when I could just throw whatever I wanted into a carry-on, not really care what I looked like and be good to go for the entire trip. Times have drastically changed and now I have to plan and prep each and every outfit but also still stay practical for what I’ll be doing on the trip. As most of y’all know, the latest trip was Tulum and talk about tough to pack for! You’d think this would be the easiest vacation but trying to think of the weather, if we’ll be exploring, do I need to dress up, etc. made things a little difficult! I know most of you gals like to still look cute no matter what you’re doing, so this post is for y’all! ☺️
If I’m headed someplace fun and warm I always try and stock up on pieces that are eye catching yet still comfortable. Judging from how often I grabbed this jumpsuit as an easy piece to throw on and go, I think it’s safe to say this is a go-to outfit for anyone headed to the beach. No matter what activity we found ourselves getting involved in whether we were going to walk on the beach, lay out, go to eat at a dressier or even super casual restaurant or if we were going jungle exploring, this entire outfit got me through our trip comfortably!
You literally should have seen the amount of crap I had packed for this trip… I mean, for being there a week I had a slew of outfits that would have worked for a 3 week trip! That quick grab and go mindset is now gone, sadly! I had this vision that Tulum wasn’t super casual so I packed dressier clothes, even high heels… More heels than sandals!!! I can’t believe I am even admitting that… I was legitimately embarrassed when I was unpacking. Thankfully, I had 2 go-to sandals that I lived in this entire trip BUT that changed what I would be wearing each day.
There were a few pieces that I definitely lived in and the first I wanted to talk about was this jumpsuit. I wore this out the first day we were there and was amazed at how comfortable I stayed and how casual I was able to make this jumpsuit look. We started out exploring the hotel so I threw my hair in a quick braid, put a hat on and was good to go. No make-up, gross hair, I’m talking extremely casual. Grayson and I ended up walking around, exploring the entire hotel, then headed out to rent bikes to ride and go find a yummy place to eat. All while wearing the same jumpsuit that I had originally thought was going to be too dressy for Tulum! It surprisingly kept me cool and comfortable.
Let’s talk about the fit. I am wearing a small and it fit me amazing, even the length which is something I am always concerned about. I am 5’8″ and the legs hit right above the floor which was perfect with flip flops. I personally wouldn’t have worn heels with this look solely because I don’t want to feel like I am wearing high waters. The shoulder straps are adjustable as well which will definitely help with the length. The lace up detail was my absolute favorite part of this look. Actually, I take that back… That and the POCKETS were the best!!
Bottom line… if you’re looking for something comfy to wear on vacation or even out around town at home, check this baby out! You will not be disappointed!
