Hello Sunday! How was everyone’s weekend? I decided to drive up to my dad’s house in Colleyville to celebrate my aunt’s and grandmother’s birthdays. Grayson was in Florida playing his last tournament of the season and I had a few days off so figured, what the hell. It has been too long since I have been up here to see everyone and help with my dad’s house. Time always flies by so fast when I am up here. Even though I’ve been up here for 5 days it feels like I just got here and am already leaving to go back to Austin. Spoiler Alert – I do feel like I am going to end up moving here in the near future. If you saw any of my Stories over the weekend you’ll know why. Just look at the photos in this post! This ranch was about 5 houses down from where they live and was absolutely breathtaking. More like picture perfect.
I wasn’t really planning on shooting any content this weekend but instead came to relax and enjoy my time with family. One of my great friends, Preston, had text me asking about my dad’s house and realized we were actually in the same city visiting our parents at the same time, which is extremely rare. He is from Austin and our parents have been friends for AGES working in the Texas Task Force together but we’re never up here at the same time. We totally took advantage and went exploring in Colleyville. For those of y’all who aren’t familiar with the area, it is north of Fort Worth and so beautiful. Literally, everyone has a pond in front of their house. It’s like its a requirement to live here.
Even though the weather was going to be on the warmer side, I had brought this cozy Chicwish sweater I had just got in. Even though it was still in the upper 70s at the time I threw it on in hopes we could find the perfect place to take some photos. And did we ever! This entire outfit gave me all the Fall feels. Not to mention all of the Fall foliage! Down the road from the house is a really pretty road that has trees folding over as if you are going under a bridge. I have been wanting to shoot there for a while now and the Fall colors made it so perfect. The horse was icing on the cake! We both knew there were horses on that land but had never been able to get super close to them on the fence line. I saw one of them about 60 feet away and tried to call it over to see if it would join us for photos! Sure enough, he came over, got quite a few pets and ended up being the perfect model for photos.
The perfect end to the perfect weekend.
Anyway, sorry for rambling on about my weekend! Let’s talk about this outfit!! If you are looking for a cozy, oversized sweater with fun detailing, look no more. This beauty is under $55 and is so comfy! One thing I loved was the length. If you didn’t know by now, I have the longest torso and this fit so well! I don’t know about y’all, but I prefer tops/sweaters that cover my crotch… Am I crazy?? I finished this look off with some neutral accessories and the most fabulous snow boots. I know it’s not snowing; not even close actually but I am OBSESSED! They flowed with the sweater perfectly!
