{Strap Happy w/Patricia Nash & Macy’s}

Ashley Hargrove of DTKAustin is wearing a Patricia Nash leather crossbody from Macy's, Steve Madden over the knee boots and a BlankNYC leather jacket from Nordstrom.

The era of customization is upon us. Practically everything we can put our hands on can be customized to a consumer’s specifications; shoes, clothes, hats, handbags and so much more. It’s rare that we actually see designer goodies that actually have interchangeable parts though. The latest trend that seems to be hitting the fashion scene are interchangeable purse straps, which to me is a genius idea! Investing in a handbag is that much easier and practical if you can customize it to match a different outfit everyday.

For starters, I am addicted to handbags. And not just any handbag, I need quality. As most of you know quality and affordability aren’t characteristics you normally see together when talking designer bags. For this post I have partnered with Macy’s and Patricia Nash to share the newest trend that will take the fashion industry by storm; interchangeable straps.

Patricia Nash has been one of my favorite handbag designers since I first saw her line a couple of years ago and I have been hooked ever since. Not only are these bags made of fine Italian leather they are all handcrafted and AFFORDABLE!! Her latest ‘Strap Happy‘ collection has to be one of my all time favorites to date. Not only do you get a handbag of amazing quality but you can essentially have multiple bags in one with the simple change of a strap.

I opted for a solid black leather cross-body bag with an edgy, studded strap. Totally my style, right?! There are three main bags in this collection; a tote, a studded crossbody and a plain crossbody, that will easily go with any of the six leather straps that I’ve shown below. There are roughly about 18 straps total ranging from adjustable to non-adjustable all priced from $50-100. I literally want them all!

Being a stylist, this is such a game changer in the fashion industry. When I’m on set dealing with ad agency’s we are always going back and forth on if I brought this or that because that handbag doesn’t look right or maybe they love the handbag but it just needs a little pizzaz. I’m not even joking, these bags are going to be a life saver! I can literally bring one bag and have multiple strap options instead of buying 20 different types of bags to present. We are always looking for ways to get the most out of products and make them look different without breaking the bank and I, personally, have never seen a product like this especially at this price point.

I’ve made a scroller for super easy shopping of my favorite Patricia Nash bags. Macy’s is also offering an EXTRA 20% off until 1/2 on TONS of Patricia Nash bags, so you best get to shopping!!

And men, don’t you worry, we’ve got you covered! Patricia Nash recently came out with some hand-crafted men’s bags that will have the hipster inside you screaming for joy!

    I had never heard of this brand until I read your post, but WOW, those bags are so genius! They’re already super cute as is, and then you add a strap that can be switched out? Seriously, why has no one thought of this before? So many options in one handy dandy little bag! I love this clever concept. Thank you so much for sharing. I really like the idea of customizing your own handles, and customizing the bag. I have seen a lot of people customize their bags in 2016. This brand is really cute, and I had no heard of Patricia Nash before. Thanks for shedding some light, because this is a brand I would definitely gravitate to. I like simple, minimalistic type of styles! xx Adaleta Avdic
