September is here and all I can think of is cooler temps, especially with all of the September fashion issues coming out! All I see is Fall this, Fall that and all I feel is heat and humidity! The rain brought Austin some weather in the 80s and it felt absolutely amazing, but obviously shot up into the 90s-100s once the cloud coverage was gone. Sad day. I don’t know if I’ve been more ready for Fall in my entire life! It’s been fun mixing in some transitional pieces to my latest posts though; before I’m drenched in sweat, that is!
I can’t be the only one this excited for colder weather, right?? Living in Texas for my entire life, you’d think I would be used to the heat and humidity by now but it’s a killer every summer! So, I’ve been living in this high-low top from Lookbook Store lately. I was hoping to have it linked for everyone but it SOLD OUT!!! UGH. Just our luck. I linked a similar white top below, but this top was just too cool. Literally, it kept me so cool! This is one of the pieces that I fell in love with so much that I have to transition it into Fall. Thankfully, this top can easily be layered with a leather jacket and a scarf and I’ll be good to go. Pieces like that are the absolute best. I feel like most pieces I buy never get the wear they deserve, so I always get excited when I find a garment that I love so much I want to wear it season after season.
So kind of off topic, but I have seriously been in a “dressing up” rut for so long! You know that feeling, right? Working from home has made me confined to workout clothes or pajamas on the regular and I can’t seem to get out of them… Because they are so comfy and I seem to love looking like a slob with my hair in a bun everyday! My point being, this look is so easy to put together that I can still look chic in comfy clothing without feeling like I’m trying too hard. The fact these jeans feel like PJs is a major help too. Ha! I dressed this look up with a new Hammitt LA bag from their Fall line and a pair of leather booties I scored at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
I also wanted to give a special shout out to one of my best friends, Gertie who created Elevé Cosmetics, an all-natural, vegan-based, GMO, gluten, paraben, sulfate, phthalate and cruelty free cosmetic line. Thanks to her, I look mega glam in these shots!!
