Hello first day of Fall!! Can I just express to y’all how frustrating it is to be at the end of September and it’s still 100 degrees in Texas?? Anyway, I have rounded up a few of my affordable Fall favorites that will get you all set for the upcoming winter weather! But don’t wait too long, colder weather goodies are selling out with the blink of an eye!!

LIGHT WEIGHT, NEUTRAL SWEATERS – Hands down, a must-have while we transition into Fall and winter. When the cooler weather arrives you don’t want to bog yourself down with a heavy weight sweater or a jacket that you’ll end up lugging around when it warms up again. Throw on a light weight sweater that will last you throughout the entire day. Once the weather gets even colder, you can still throw on these sweaters with a blanket scarf and coat and you’re good to go!
COGNAC TOTE – This, my friends, will be your go-to tote for ALL seasons. I bought the grey version of this tote last year and I still use it every single day; as a carry on, my gym bag, you name it, it’s with me! It even comes with a small pouch to carry all of your knick knacks so they don’t get lost in your bag. Affordable, well made, must have!
NEUTRAL BOOTIES – As I’m sure most of y’all saw last Fall, booties were the IT shoe of the season and they haven’t gone anywhere for 2016. My personal advice for buying booties or boots is you’re going to realize you want them ALL so don’t buy extremely expensive pairs. I stuck around the $30-150 mark on each pair last year and they’re all still around making an appearance this Fall. Be smart and choose brands that are known for quality with reasonable prices, like Vince Camuto.
ANIMAL PRINT – Yes, it’s making a comeback, but don’t go overboard. Add it in to your winter wardrobe subtly with a handbag, clutch, scarf or shoes.
DRESSES TO LAYER – This is probably one of my favorite trends because I LOVE layering. I’m one that gets pretty hot in the Fall, even when its 20 degrees outside so I take layering to a new level. More like I look like a weirdo level. I rarely wear long sleeves with a coat so I try and wear a base layer of something sleeveless and then a scarf and coat. These sleeveless swing dresses are so affordable and perfect for all sorts of layering!
OTK BOOTS – All I have to say is that EVERYONE needs to own a pair of OTK boots. I know a lot of people have been concerned about the thigh and calf circumference on some of these boots. For example, if you look at Stuart Weitzman‘s OTK boots you can feel that the leather is stretchy and they also have adjustable ties on the back which helps with sizing. Anyone with super skinny legs to larger legs are able to wear boots like this because they conform to your leg shape and are extremely comfortable. Most OTK boots these days are a stretchier fabric, so keep an eye out if you are in the market but haven’t had any luck in the past. Steve Madden and Vince Camuto are great options as well.
My Fall favorites aren’t limited to the items above… I just couldn’t fit more in that rectangle! HA! I’ve created a couple scrollers for you to peruse even more affordable pieces that will get you through the winter. There are soooooo many cozy sweaters out right now! I NEED them ALL!!
