Do you ever see a dress online and you just know it’s going to be a winner?? That’s exactly how I felt about this Free People stunner; easy, breezy, elegant and perfect for summer or fall! Take a look for yourself! If that main image doesn’t suck you in, I don’t know what will! I was really looking for something dramatic, yet comfy, for our trip to New Orleans. Being in a new city I wanted something that would be different than my norm. and I definitely think this dress did the trick.
Honestly, this dress is probably one of my favorite purchases to date solely because I have a major obsession with maxi dresses and it was so reasonably priced for Free People!! Considering all of the dresses I normally swoon over are over $300! It also comes in EIGHT colors! So what are you waiting for??
Let me convince you even more. 🙂 One of my favorite parts of this dress is how it flows so beautifully. There is so much fabric that is moves like a dream. If you want to salsa dance, go right ahead, you’ll look like am million bucks twisting and twirling!! I totally felt so cool wearing this! People were literally standing on the sidewalk watching me look like an idiot running up and down the stairs, spinning and twirling. It was hilarious!
I definitely feel that this is a piece that I will get wear out of in the summer, in addition to the winter. It was a little colder in New Orleans so I brought my favorite suede jacket with me and it made this look even more perfect. The maxi dress and leather jacket trend is one of my absolute favorites during Fall. It looks so chic and is such a great way to transition your summer dresses into colder weather.
I would suggest sizing down. This dress has a full elastic top that you can wear strapless or if you are worried about it falling down because of the dress’s weight there are 2 straps that you can tie like a halter! I ordered a small because I am pretty busty, but I could have gotten an XS and would have been fine. There are drawstrings on the lower back as well so you can adjust the fit.
Before I wrap this post up, I wanted to tell you about where we shot these pics! It’s called the Eiffel Society and occupies a historic building that was constructed from pieces of a restaurant that originally perched atop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It definitely made for a gorgeous area to shoot and admire!
Now that we’ve talked about all of the reasons I can’t get enough of this dress, head to the bottom of this post for an AMAZING giveaway!! There’s only a few more days left to enter and you definitely don’t want to miss out!
