Are you sweater obsessed? Me too! It’s to the point I just stock up for photos… Am I the only person that does this?? Grayson literally thinks I’m crazy! I have piles and piles of sweaters and he’s like seriously, Ashley, you NEVER wear any of these! But honey… They make amazing photo props or what if we go somewhere really cold and I need to pack ALL of my sweaters?! There ARE definitely a handful that I wear on a daily basis in the winter and the sweater in this post is definitely one of my faves.
I always love finding pieces that will be forever pieces. Meaning, they have intricate detailing, something I might not ever find anywhere else and is high quality. I normally stock up on items like this if I know I can get a lot of wear out them and if they come in multiple colors, you know I’ll be buying one of each!
That’s exactly how I felt about this twist knot, open back sweater. It’s not everyday you see sweaters that have great detail. How much can you possibly do with something that is supposed to keep you warm?? I’ve seen my slew of lace up sweaters, bell-sleeve sweaters, OTS sweaters, but never an open back sweater like this one! The fit is oversized for a more cozy and slouchy look but don’t let that steer you away. I am wearing a S/M and it fit me perfectly. I’m definitely a huge fan of loser sweaters that I can cozy up with a beanie, blanket scarf and some boots!
Now, if you’re worried that your back might get a little chilly there are some cute fixes for this! I know a lot of people despise camisole tank tops… I mean, they are boring, plain but super comfy!! There are quite a few cami alternatives if you want to layer a tank with this sweater. I would suggest wearing a tank that has some cute lace detailing on the back. CamiNYC is one of my favorite cami companies that makes gorgeously detailed tops that would be perfect for layering. If you aren’t wanting to layer but notice the fact that you can’t wear a bra with this sweater; opt for a lace bralette so you see the slight detail popping out of the back.
